18+ party game
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use MASQO (the “App”) or visit masqo.app. MASQO is provided by Anastasiia Martynovets, the App’s developer and data controller.
Information handled by the App
Gameplay and custom content
Player names, party-session state, secret words, hints, custom decks, settings, and game progress are stored locally on your device. MASQO does not intentionally send player names, secret words, hints, or custom-deck content to our servers, Firebase, RevenueCat, or advertising services.
Local app files are excluded from iCloud backup. They may be lost if you delete the App, reinstall it, reset its data, or lose the device.
Subscriptions and purchases
Payments are processed by Apple. Apple, our subscription-management provider RevenueCat, and our subscription-analytics provider Adapty may process an anonymous app or profile identifier, StoreKit transaction and original-transaction identifiers, product and subscription status, purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund dates, storefront country or region, trial and renewal status, and purchase receipts. We use this information to provide and restore entitlements, prevent fraud, investigate support requests, and understand subscription and revenue performance. We do not receive your full payment-card details or Apple Account password.
The anonymous RevenueCat App User ID is shown in the App as a Support ID so we can locate purchase and entitlement information when you ask for help. Resetting MASQO’s local data does not rotate this identifier. Reinstalling the App may create a new identifier.
Attribution and diagnostics
MASQO does not include Firebase Analytics and does not send gameplay interactions, searches, player names, or custom content to an analytics service. RevenueCat and Adapty process purchase and subscription events for entitlement management and subscription analytics.
Adapty may process the device’s IP address for approximate country or region determination, subscription analytics, service security, and fraud prevention. MASQO does not use this information to determine a precise location.
Firebase Crashlytics may process crash reports, stack traces, app and operating-system versions, device model, app state, a Crashlytics installation UUID, a Firebase Installation ID, and basic technical diagnostics. MASQO sends only a privacy-safe error type and stack trace: player names, secret words, hints, custom-deck content, RevenueCat Support IDs, and arbitrary user text are not attached to crash reports.
MASQO may use Apple AdServices standard attribution through Adapty to understand whether an App Store download followed an Apple Ads campaign. Attribution data may include campaign, ad group, keyword, and ad identifiers, country or region, and click or impression timestamps supplied by Apple. We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, collect IDFA through Adapty, use personalized advertising identifiers, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Notifications
If remote messaging is enabled and you opt in to notifications, Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging may process an APNs device token, an FCM registration token, a Firebase Installation ID, device model, language, time zone, operating-system and App identifiers and versions, and topic subscriptions needed to deliver generic party reminders or seasonal announcements. Cloudflare schedules approved messages and sends them to Firebase topics; we do not maintain our own database of device tokens. Notification payloads do not contain player names, secret words, hints, custom content, or active-round state.
Locally scheduled party reminders stay on your device. You can turn reminders or remote notifications off in the App or in iOS Settings.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include. This may include your Support ID, App version, iOS version, device model, screenshots, or troubleshooting details. Please do not include player names, secret words, custom-deck content, or other sensitive information unless it is necessary to resolve the issue.
Website and network request data
Cloudflare hosts this website and related MASQO services and may process ordinary network and request information such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested path, request time, response status, and security events. The website does not set advertising cookies or run product analytics.
How we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide, restore, and verify subscription access;
- measure subscription and Apple Ads campaign performance;
- deliver notifications you requested;
- measure App reliability through privacy-safe crash diagnostics;
- diagnose crashes, purchase issues, fraud, and abuse;
- secure and operate the App, website, and supporting services;
- respond to support, privacy, and legal requests; and
- comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.
Legal bases
Where applicable, we process information to perform our contract with you by providing the App and purchased access, based on legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving MASQO, with your consent for optional notifications and any processing that legally requires consent, and to comply with legal obligations.
Service providers and disclosure
We use the following providers:
- Apple for App Store distribution, payments, purchase restoration, AdServices attribution, and push notifications;
- RevenueCat for subscription status, entitlements, purchase restoration, and subscription analytics;
- Adapty for observer-mode subscription analytics, fraud prevention, and standard Apple Ads attribution;
- Google Firebase for privacy-safe crash diagnostics, installation management, and push-notification delivery when remote messaging is enabled; and
- Cloudflare for website and service hosting, security, region-policy resolution, and scheduled notification delivery.
We share information with these providers only as needed to operate MASQO. Providers that receive user data are contractually required to provide the same or equivalent protection described in this Privacy Policy and required by Apple’s guidelines. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to investigate abuse, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell or rent personal information or share it for cross-app behavioral advertising.
Retention
- Local gameplay data remains on your device until you reset the App, delete the App, or the operating system removes it.
- Local party reminders remain until they fire, are disabled, or you reset the App.
- Firebase Crashlytics crash reports are retained for up to 90 days under the configured Firebase retention policy.
- When a Firebase Installation ID is deleted, Firebase begins removing data associated with it. Removal from live and backup systems may take up to 180 days.
- Apple, RevenueCat, Adapty, Firebase, and Cloudflare retain information according to applicable service settings, legal obligations, accounting and fraud-prevention needs, security requirements, and privacy policies.
- Support messages and related records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.
- Purchase and legal records may be retained for the period required by Apple, applicable law, accounting rules, or the provider’s retention requirements.
Resetting local data and your choices
In the App, choose Reset all data and confirm the destructive action. MASQO removes its local gameplay, party, custom-deck, settings, progress, and entitlement-cache files, cancels pending local reminders, unsubscribes notification topics, and requests deletion of the FCM registration token and Firebase Installation ID where those services are initialized and available. If you continue using Firebase-powered features, Firebase may create a new, unrelated Installation ID.
Resetting local data does not cancel an App Store subscription, rotate the RevenueCat Support ID, erase Apple’s purchase history, or automatically delete purchase and other records already held by RevenueCat, Adapty, Firebase, Cloudflare, or Support. Manage or cancel billing in Apple Account subscription settings.
To request access, deletion, or de-identification of information we control, email help@masqo.app. Include your Support ID only if the request concerns purchase records. Never send a password, full payment-card number, or raw purchase receipt. We respond within 30 days or the shorter or longer period required by applicable law. We will delete or de-identify information we control and instruct relevant providers where reasonably possible, subject to records we must retain for legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes. Apple-controlled information and billing choices must be handled through Apple.
Permissions and controls
- Notifications: requested only after an in-app explanation and your positive action.
- Notification controls: available in the App and iOS Settings.
- Tracking: MASQO does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
- Device access: MASQO does not need camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, or photo-library access for its core party-game experience.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or complain to a local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise a right. Because MASQO does not require an account, we may need your Support ID or details about a support request to locate relevant records.
International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for cross-border transfers. Privacy protections may differ between jurisdictions.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including data minimization, privacy-safe crash diagnostics, and local-only storage for gameplay content. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Adults only
MASQO is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit use by or collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date.
